After extensive discussion, it was approved in December 2014. On 21st June 2015, the first International Yoga Day was celebrated all over the world. Why should 21st June be celebrated as Yoga Day, 21st June is a big day in many countries of the world. And because of the speed required by the Earth to revolve around the Sun, June 21 is longer than other days.Uttarayana ends on June 21 and Dakshinayan begins. And on this day the day is long and the night is short. On June 21, the sun rises early and stays up late in the evening. So this day gets special importance. Therefore, it was proposed that this day should be celebrated as International Yoga Day. Yoga has special importance for body, mind, society and our overall health, and that is why this year the concept of "Humanity" was implemented on the occasion of International Yoga Day.June 21 i.e. International Yoga Day is a celebrated all over India.
